MEA Skills Camp

Who is get'in ready for some baseball! What a great way to spend MEA Break! And GREAT weather! And pass the word with your baseball buddies as we still have open spots.

We will have the camp at Bob Cross Park in Sauk Rapids, as the temps are going to be close to 70! We'll start on the main adult field and then separate into groups. The field is right off Hwy 10 and by the Sauk Rapids Middle School. The camp will start at noon each day and finish at 4:00pm for the commuters. The overnight campers will be transported to the Country Inn Suites West. I will be staying overnight along with my assistant coaches. The phone number there is 320-259-8999.

Campers spending the night with us at the hotel:

After a short team meeting/baseball chalk talk we will have free time/open swimming and then a Pizza Party Dinner followed by open swimming, baseball movies, video games, free time. (We still have rooms available if any commuters want to stay overnight. The cost is only $25.00 and that includes dinner, breakfast and transportation to the field.) And parents, please feel safe and secure, as we’ve been having overnight camps for 20 years with no issues. We’ll have one adult for every 10 players staying.

Please do bring a sweatshirt, a coat and baseball pants or sweatpants. Don’t forget your glove and if you bring your own bat and helmet please name tag it. Other than that just come ready to play some baseball and have some fun!

For those of you that requested we will be selling our new SCSU Huskies baseball hats and t-shirts at the registration table. The cost is $20.00 per hat or t-shirt or $30.00 for a hat/t-shirt combo. And each camper will receive a separate Starz of Tomorrow Baseball Academy t-shirt during lunch on Friday along with a Starz of Tomorrow MEA Camp Certificate.

We look forward to having you attend this year’s MEA camp where we will teach you the FUNdamentals of the great game of baseball and have some FUN in doing so!

Our 11th Annual Starz of Tomorrow MEA Camp is a great opportunity for players to extend their baseball season into the fall as well as improve their basic skill level. The camp will emphasize hitting and fundamental skill development drills for infield, outfield, pitching and catching. The camp will be conducted through verbal instruction and visual demonstration. This is an excellent opportunity for both the high school and youth baseball player to receive quality instruction from the SCSU baseball staff and current and former SCSU baseball players.

Overnight camper lodging includes dinner, a baseball fun night and breakfast. Supervised staff, including me, will be staying with the campers. Extended drop off hours for those campers who need to be dropped off at 8:00am. Baseball movies and snacks included!

Schedule of Events:
Camp runs from 12:00pm-4:00pm with early drop off options (email for details!)

Thursday stay overnight at the team hotel for swimming, team meeting-“chalk talk” and pizza party and breakfast in the morning

Campers will get fundamental instruction in morning session. After lunch the campers will play in some simulated games and hit in cages
