Holiday Camp + Showcase

This is a great opportunity to spend a couple days of your holiday break playing and learning the game of baseball, while showcasing your baseball skills. The camp will emphasize hitting and fundamental skill development drills for infield, outfield, pitching and catching.  This is an excellent opportunity for both the high school and youth baseball player to receive quality instruction from the St. Cloud State University baseball staff and current and former SCSU baseball players.  MAKES A GREAT HOLIDAY GIFT!!           Cost = $100Overnight campers= $125

December 22-23 Grades 9-12            December 28-29 Grades 8th and below                   Day 1= 1 – 5:00 pm; Day 2= 9-4:00pm

 

Pitcher/Catchers/Hitters Clinic

This specialty clinic is held on February 7th in the Husky Dome, "Home of the SCSU Huskies!"  It's open to all players between the ages of 8 and 18 years old. This clinic will focus on the skills needed to be a successful pitcher, catcher, and hitter.  Cost for this clinic is $50.00.    Feb 7th    9:00A.M-1:00 P.M.

 

Spring Training Clinic

 The Spring Training Clinic is a six-session baseball clinic offering baseball players a chance to increase their baseball knowledge, work with experienced coaches, gain fundamental skills and get ready for the season!  The clinic is the only mass spring training program run for these age groups.  The clinic will feature the following a session on injury prevention with Sports & Orthopedics Specialists.  Video equipment to breakdown pitching mechanics.  Baseball handouts on numerous parts of the game.  Excellent coaching on all fundamentals of the game, including hitting, pitching, fielding, and base running.  Cost for spring training clinic is $175 for grades 9-12 and $100 for grades 8 and below.

Game Day Clinic

 This specialty one day clinic is held on Saturday, September 27th at the beautiful Joe Faber Field, "Home of the SCSU Huskies!"  It's open to all players 12 years old and younger and their Dad's, uncles, older brothers...we even had some Mom's come out last year with their sons.  (And they had better baseball skills than most of the Dads!)  Following the clinic the group is provided a "baseball lunch" of hot dogs, chips, cookie and pop and they receive free admission to the SCSU Huskies baseball team fall scrimmage.  Cost for this clinic is $25.00.

 

Summer Clinics

 The Starz of Tomorrow Summer Clinics offers baseball players a chance to increase their baseball knowledge, work with experienced coaches, and gain fundamental skills.  The clinic will feature the following injury prevention session with Sports & Orthopedics Specialists.  Baseball handouts on numerous parts of the game and classroom baseball lectures.  Excellent coaching on all fundamentals of the game, including hitting, pitching, fielding, and base running, but mostly drill work.  Coaching from the SCSU Coaching Staff and numerous other Central Minnesota coaches and college players.

 

Fall League

 Our fall wood bat league will take place on Saturdays in late August and run through September.  All games will be played as doubleheaders and be played at numerous baseball fields around the St. Cloud area.  All players will hit in the line-up and all players will have equal playing time.  Players can sign up as a team or individually and be put on a team.  There will be two leagues; a minor league for players in grades 7-9 and a major league for players in grades 10-12.  Cost for the fall league is $150.00 

 

Prospect Showcase Clinic

These camps are for the serious minded ball player that has desires to play at the collegiate level.  Players will be taken through a series of tests in the 60 yard dash, home to first base test, radar gun velocity test, specific position fielding and throwing test and hitting tests.  Our summer showcase held on August 16th will include scrimmages while our winter showcase held on December 20th will include simulated games at the SCSU Husky Dome.  Costs for the showcases are $75.00 for the summer showcase and $100.00 for the winter showcase.

Mondays In May

NEW FOR 2009!  This fundamental skills and drills session will be help each Monday evening in May.  The clinics are designed to provide some early season instruction before the season begins.  The old saying "the early bird gets the worm" fits our Mondays in May!  Participants will go through a series of 10 minute session on various areas of the game each night followed by a simulated game to finish the session.  Cost for this

clinic is $50.00
